Problem Formulation

The first and most important phase in the research process is choosing and outlining the research problem effectively. Like a doctor, the researcher must identify the issue and frame it in such a way that it is suitable to investigation. Only then can the researcher make an accurate diagnosis.

A problem well put is half solved. This proverb emphasizes how crucial it is to formulate the chosen problem correctly. Finding relevant data, analyzing that data, and developing research questions are the main duties of research. The proper completion of this work depends on the accurate identification of the study's necessary data and information. He doesn't need to spend a lot of time or effort on the subsequent phases after the problem has been stated. Therefore, the formulation is a direction and a focused area of research. It aids in defining the research area and prevents irrational data collection and blind research. A proper formulation aids in the resolution of all significant research-related activities, including sampling, data gathering, instrument development, and analysis plan.
